Day 0 - Flying Off!
It was crazy packing, preparing. But I'm off at last! Thanks to the following who came to send me off:
Also thanks to those who called / SMS / MSN me that they couldn't make it and wished me all the best. It's the thought that counts. I really appreciate it. :)
And of course, Joseph who was nice enough to walk all the way from his work place inside the terminal to see me off at the gate. T3 departure gates have a rather unique arrangement. I shall not go into any further geographical details that would make Prof. Ragu really proud of me, but the heads of everyone else spin.
Some of my pride and joy who misheard that I would be there at 8pm (when I said 9pm odd). Thanks (From R) Gary, Gary (yes 2 Garys), Nic, Swee, Joshua, and Lai Jun. Appreciate this very very much.
Some of my Field Studies friends (From R) Alvin, Sandra, Nora and Sheep Lim from PJC Days who would be going to Austria.
Hall mates (From L) Eng Tat, Melissa and Jia Xin (Who's now in USA). They came to send off Joel Tan as well. So good right, one trip to send off two people to two different locations!
Who else but my mum?(and my 2nd brother taking the photo)
Also thanks to those who called / SMS / MSN me that they couldn't make it and wished me all the best. It's the thought that counts. I really appreciate it. :)
It was a long flight. Doesn't help when it's a full flight (and full of British Nationals flying home!) There was a slight commotion. Apparently, one of the British was "buay-song" with another, so he refused to be sitted next to him (when it's a full flight. How considerate).
I had a window seat, which gave me a lot of side space to extend my legs. But the person in front of me had even more - she reclined her seat fully and stuck her feet at the window, just next to the head of the person in front of her. Again, how considerate.
Before anyone over-generalise, I was lucky to be sitted next to a really nice British couple. they just had their holiday in Singapore and Bangkok. They chatted with me and the husband gave me his number and email address at the end of the flight, asking me to contact him if I have any problems!
I've read your cards on the plane. Thanks Jias, Xiao Hui and Sandra.
