Day 1 - International Orientation Day 1
Didn't had any problems with the immigration. Queue was short, due to the fact that most of those on the plane were British Nationals. The immigration officer grant me Student Visitor status once he saw my offer letter.
Then I took the long long walk to the Tube Station....
After a long ride, in which I tried to keep my barang-barangs as close as possible so that I wouldn't affect those seated around me, I finally arrived at the station. Thankfully there was only 1 exit, and the station had a lift.
Didn't had any problems checking in. I was allocated a room on the 4th Floor (5th floor equivalent in Singapore), which is the top floor.
After a little unpacking, I had to head down to school. Dropped by the shopping centre that's about 10 mins walk from my Hall. Nothing much for me to shop here. Clothes, it's mostly women and baby wear. Food-wise, too atas for me. But will frequent here for the Waitrose Supermarket for groceries.
Indulge me in wanting to take a artistic short. As you can see, it was a sunny day.
The main building of the University. Or Portico.
Nothing much except talks. Then we went on to meet our Affiliate tutors in our department, i.e. the lecturer who is suppose to take care of us Affiliate students. I'm impressed by their system to ensure that the Affiliate students are well-taken care of. We are given a booklet that states all the department policies and where to access information. If a course has more than 5 Affiliate student, they must be a tutorial every week for the Affiliate students, so that the lecturer can make sure that the Affiliate students are coping well!
Finally!
Ok, the line I'm going to take is working.

Just leaving the station. It's 7.3o am for goodness sake!

Hey Yanjie,
Welcome to London! Glad that you've survived the Tube ride to Central London. Believe it or not, I've not attempted that, with my barang barang and all. I swore by Heathrow Connect/Express instead.
Well, will be looking forward to hear about your adventures in London. Cheers!
