Day 33 - One Month in London
What can I say?
I have been in London for 1 month already.
My ears are no longer numb from the cold, my nose no longer itches when the cold wind blow. I no longer take my orange file of maps around with me anymore. I'm used to big white "WAIT" screaming at me at the traffic lights, I'm used to taking out my oyster card to tap on the reader whenever I board on the tube, instead of leaving it inside my wallet like EZ-Link card.
I'm more or less settled in already, I guess.
Anyway, I spared a quid plus on ice-cream to mark my first month in London. To think that I started being rather paranoid when it was dark. Now, I'm a lot more confident about my safety at night, but of course, kept a vigilance.
Anyway, yesterday's hot pot dinner had a lot of "dong fen" and prawns leftover. So since my Kübra, my Turkish flatmate said that she missed Thai food, I volunteered to clear those by making a Thai "glass noodle" salad (Yam Talay ยำทะเล ) for everyone. Too bad I had only 1 lime. Then again, more lime means more chilli also, which means more overpowering flavours that not many can handle. Glad that they like it though.
PS: There isn't any cooking required, but I needed a big bowl to mix the salad. Hence my pan. :P
