Day 8 & 9 - Vacuum and shopping

One week here in London already. Weather's been warming up to be consistently above 5°C.

Thursdays are my free day. So I've decided to catch up on my readings and do some cleaning up. Loaned the vacuum cleaner from the office to suck up the stuff in my room.

Went on to King's Cross station to make my rail card and to collect my ticket for the weekend trip with the Cambridge guys. No, I don't know and don't care which platform leads to Hogwarts.

Saw this at the Burger King near King's Cross. Guess all the Angus in the world aren't gonna be happy with it.

Friday lecture was pretty short. All other lectures were full lessons, only this one was just admin matters and no teaching! So since things ended early, Ming Li (fellow exchanger at UCL) decided to go down to Oxford Street, since she's looking for shoes and I'm looking for shoes and cheap blazers.

Finally I found something that I like. Cheap blazer with nice cutting at £15 (from £60!) Nice coat that can double up as a blazer at £15! Leather Sneaker, of nice design and MY SIZE (at last) for £20! Well actually it was £25, but when I asked if they have a new pair, as the side of the sole is a little dirty, they offer it to me at £20. Finally, I bought things that I can use in Singapore at a much much much much cheaper rate.

As Ming Li put it: Sales in Singapore cannot make it!
